The Missouri Baptist Convention (MBC) is organizing a mission trip to the north St. Louis area, partnering with four local churches to serve their surrounding communities. Volunteers will participate in a range of ministry opportunities, including neighborhood outreach and canvassing, prayer walking, light construction projects, and children’s ministry. This trip is designed to encourage and strengthen local congregations while proclaiming the hope of the gospel through compassionate service and community engagement.
The financial requirement includes a partial scholarship provided by the MBC to assist qualifying churches in developing and implementing an Acts 1:8 missional strategy.

Requirements
Prerequisites
- Group Leaders: Group leaders must attend scheduled Zoom meetings, which will be announced at a later date. These meetings will provide important trip details, expectations, and training to ensure leaders are equipped to guide their teams effectively.
- Before registering, applicants should connect with Victor Ordonez to learn more about the partnership, trip details, and next steps in participation.
Responsibilities
- Housing & Meals: Participants will be housed in local churches, with separate sleeping spaces for males and females. Each person should bring an inflatable mattress or cot, bedding, towels, washcloths, and other personal items. Showers will be available at each location. Meals Three meals will be provided each day, and the cost is included in the overall trip fee. Leadership & Oversight Each ministry site will have a designated site director who will oversee the work and serve as the point of contact for mission teams. Participants will report to their site director daily for guidance and assignments.
Restrictions
- What to Bring: Participants should come prepared with: A servant’s heart, a good attitude, and a worshipful spirit. Participants must understand that they are representing both their own churches and the local churches they will be serving. Group leaders are responsible for ensuring their teams conduct themselves in a Christlike and appropriate manner at all times.
