Rural Mission Opportunity in Troy, MO
We are excited to partner with Redeemer Church in Troy, Missouri for an incredible mission opportunity! Redeemer was planted just two and a half years ago and is already making a strong gospel impact in their community. This trip is perfect for a multi-generational team looking to serve together.
Your group will have the opportunity to host a VBS, canvass and prayer walk local neighborhoods, and assist with a few light construction projects. Lodging is provided at no cost, thanks to a partnering local church offering its facilities — complete with showers and a kitchen. The fee associated with this trip will be paid directly to Redeemer Church to help offset the cost of their VBS program. This support ensures the program is fully funded without impacting the church’s budget and will also be used to resource community canvassing and advertising initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Group will be housed at a local church that includes showers and a kitchen. Meals will be the responsibility of the mission team. Participants should be prepared for light physical labor and outdoor activities. All participants should demonstrate a servant’s heart and a willingness to engage the local community through prayer, service, and evangelism. Each team member should bring their own bedding, including an air mattress or cot, pillow, blanket, towel, and personal toiletries.
Preparation
- The mission team will receive the VBS curriculum in advance and should plan to lead an age-appropriate teaching session, a game session, a craft time, and a nightly snack. Each evening should begin with an upbeat, engaging worship experience to help set the tone for the night’s activities.
