In 2026, Kansas City, Missouri will be one of the host cities for the FIFA World Cup—the largest sporting event on the planet. The tournament will bring an estimated 500,000 visitors to Kansas City from around the world, creating an unprecedented opportunity to share the hope of the gospel with people from every nation, tribe, and tongue.

The Missouri Baptist Convention (MBC) is partnering with local Kansas City churches and ministries to engage this global crowd through a variety of evangelistic and service-oriented initiatives. Mission teams will help serve in practical ways—from distributing water bottles and prayer cards to engaging fans in gospel conversations and community events near major gathering areas.

Kansas City will be buzzing with international energy and excitement, but beneath the celebration lies a city filled with spiritual need. This opportunity allows churches and mission teams to be part of what God is doing among the nations—right here in Missouri!
